Your account belongs to you. You can delete it whenever you want, without having to give a reason, and without going through us.
From the app
This is the fastest way, and the deletion is immediate. The app is in French, so the button names are given in French, with an English translation.
- Open EMINI, then the Vous tab (“You”).
- Tap Mon compte (“My account”), then, at the very bottom, Supprimer mon compte (“Delete my account”).
- The app shows you what will disappear, in detail, before you confirm.
- Type your email address again to confirm. This is deliberately a little demanding: a deletion should never come down to a single tap.
Without the app
If you have uninstalled EMINI, or if you would rather write to us, send a message to contact@eminibible.com from your account’s email address, with “Delete my account” as the subject. You may write in English.
We verify that the request comes from you, then we delete the account. Allow up to 7 days; it usually takes less than 48 hours. You will receive written confirmation once it is done.
What is deleted
Everything that concerns you, without exception:
- your email address and your sign-in identifier;
- your notes, highlights, prayers, and favorites;
- your reading plans, the plans you follow, and your reading streak;
- your circle messages and your public comments;
- your “likes” and your prayers on the verse of the day;
- your notification subscription;
- your profile photo, if you had chosen one;
- the usage statistics events linked to your account.
A single exception, and we tell you about it
If you have created a reading circle where other people are still reading, the circle is not deleted — it no longer belongs to you alone, and deleting it would take it away from people who never asked for that.
In that case, your name is removed from it and your messages are deleted like everything else. The circle continues without you. If you would rather have it deleted entirely, tell us in your message and we will do it.

What remains after deletion
Your account is erased, and we do not keep your address on any list. The only trace left is in our encrypted backups: we use them only in case of a serious failure, never to restore a deleted account, and they delete themselves after 30 days. After that, nothing remains.
A deletion is therefore permanent: your notes and your prayers cannot be recovered, even if you ask us the next day. Remember to export your notes first, if they matter to you.
